Copyright Procedure

Copyright is a vital component of protecting intellectual property. At Kentucky Documents, we take copyright infringement seriously and are committed to ensuring that original works are respected. If you believe that your copyrighted material has been used without permission, you have the right to take action. This page outlines the procedure for reporting copyright infringement.

Reporting Infringement

To initiate a copyright infringement claim, please provide a written notice that includes the following information:

  • Your name, address, and contact information.
  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  • The location of the infringing material on our site.
  • A statement asserting that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

Submitting Your Notice

Once you have compiled the necessary information, please send your notice to dmca@kentuckydocuments.com. Our team will review your submission and respond promptly. We aim to address all claims in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with copyright laws.

Counter-Notice

If you believe that your material has been removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. This counter-notice should include:

  • Your name, address, and contact information.
  • A description of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

Follow-Up Actions

After receiving a counter-notice, Kentucky Documents may restore the removed material within 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a legal action seeking a court order against the alleged infringer. Both parties will be notified of any actions taken.
